According to the new provisions, all hydraulic structures, including first and second-order irrigation canals, pumping stations, wells, ponds, and pools, must be transferred to state ownership by December 31, 2026. These facilities will be transferred to the management of the water resources service, which is under the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry.
In addition, the ministry has been tasked with reviewing the staff composition responsible for servicing internal irrigation systems in collaboration with the relevant service.
The President's Administration will oversee the implementation of this resolution, which will come into effect in seven days.
