According to the new decision, the Ministry of Transport and Communications will receive the following funds:
- 4.6 million soms for the implementation of the first phase of creating a digital map of roadways;
- 7.9 million soms for the development and launch of the E-Permit system in partnership with China.
These projects will be carried out by the Ministry of Transport and Communications.
The digital map will provide a unified format for collecting information about all highways in the country, including data on length, surface condition, repair sections, and funding. This will significantly simplify the planning and monitoring process of road works, increasing the transparency of the system and allowing citizens to receive up-to-date information about the state of the roads.
E-Permit, which stands for Electronic Permit, is an electronic platform that automates the process of issuing and verifying permits for international freight transportation. The system will replace paper documents, speed up the border crossing process, and ensure real-time data exchange between the transport authorities of Kyrgyzstan and China.
