In Bishkek, 4.2 million soms have been allocated this year for the burial of stateless individuals. This information was announced during a meeting of the permanent commission of the city council, which deals with issues related to housing and communal services, transport, and ecology.

Deputy Alymbek Baktybekov reported that the responsibility for the burial of stateless bodies has been assigned to the Municipal Enterprise "Bishkek Agency of Funeral Services."

Officials noted that approximately 52 percent of the allocated amount has already been used to date.

Baktybekov expressed doubts about the effectiveness of accounting for burial plots that are to be registered in the log and raised the issue of the existence of a unified accounting system.

City hall representatives responded that work is underway on digitalization, and in the future, a unified registry will be created that will allow for easy tracking of burial locations. The installation of cameras for monitoring purposes is also planned.

During the meeting, the procedure for the burial of citizens was also discussed, which will be included in the agenda of the next session.
