Present at the meeting were the authorized representatives of the president in the regions, city mayors, district heads, and government officials. The main focus was on preventing the rise in coal prices during the winter period and ensuring its availability for citizens.
Torobaev instructed local administrations, the antimonopoly service, and law enforcement agencies to strengthen control over the condition of coal warehouses and the prices of fuel and lubricants. Additionally, the state enterprise "Kyrgyzkomur" must establish cooperation with coal mining companies and local authorities to ensure timely deliveries.
The meeting also discussed the possibility of transitioning social facilities to alternative heating sources. It was instructed to organize regular agricultural product fairs to curb food prices.
According to government data, the population will require about 1.465 million tons of coal during the heating season, while budgetary organizations will need more than 309 thousand tons. There are 720 coal warehouses operating in the country.
It is emphasized that personal responsibility will be established for officials in the execution of these directives.
