
During the meeting, measures to prevent price increases for coal and ensure its availability for citizens were discussed. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry Bakyt Torobaev emphasized the need for enhanced control.
Torobaev instructed representatives of district administrations, the Antimonopoly Service, and law enforcement agencies to strengthen monitoring of coal prices at warehouses, as well as for fuel and lubricants.
Additionally, he noted that the state enterprise "Kyrgyzkomur" should establish effective cooperation with local authorities and coal mining companies to provide the population with coal at reasonable prices.
The necessity of transitioning social facilities to alternative heating systems was also discussed. Meeting participants concluded on the importance of monitoring prices for essential goods and organizing fairs on weekends until the beginning of spring next year.
During the heating season, 1 million 465 thousand tons of coal are required for the population and 309.14 thousand tons for budgetary organizations. There are 720 coal warehouses operating in the country.
The meeting also highlighted that the responsibility of officials for fulfilling the assigned tasks will be reviewed.
