With the cooling weather sweeping across the country, active measures for winter preparation have begun. The main focus is on heating supply, the availability of coal for the population, and preparing transport for winter conditions. The "Kabar" agency has presented an overview of the key aspects of winter preparation.

The state enterprise "Kyrgyzkomur" is taking measures to ensure stable coal supply to the population at fixed prices. As of November 3, a temporary restriction has been imposed on access for private drivers and companies to the Kara-Keche coal mine.
This measure aims to replenish stocks, stabilize market prices, and provide coal at social tariffs for low-income citizens.
The enterprise calls on private carriers to enter into partnership agreements with local coal sales bases.
Currently, daily coal production at Kara-Keche is 7,000 to 10,000 tons, which supplies fuel to the Bishkek CHPP and social facilities across the country.
For the winter season of 2025-2026, 118 coal sales points and fuel bases have been organized across the regions.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations urges drivers to strictly follow traffic rules, not to delay changing summer tires for winter ones, and to exercise caution on the roads.
Due to adverse weather conditions, vehicles with summer tires are temporarily not allowed at the "Sosnovka" and "Aral" checkpoints.
Recommendations from the Ministry of Emergency Situations:
be sure to replace summer tires with winter ones;
before long trips, prepare a first aid kit, water, food, a shovel, and chains for the wheels;
maintain a distance of 500 meters;
avoid long trips unless absolutely necessary;
in case of an accident, call 112 (toll-free call).
According to Kyrgyzhydromet, rain transitioning to snow is expected in the republic on November 4-5.
Temporary restrictions for heavy trucks have been introduced at the To-Ashuu, Ala-Bel, and Otmok passes.
