At the Kabar agency, the director of OJSC "Kyrgyzkomur," Kairat Mamatov, commented on the concerns of residents of Bishkek and the Chui region regarding the sale of loose coal, despite the existing ban.
He pointed out that since mid-October, a ban on the sale of loose coal has been introduced in Bishkek and the Chui region to protect the environment. "This decision was made to safeguard the environment. Therefore, the sale of small coal is not possible, and we do not engage in its sale. In Kara-Keche, we have established a sorting complex that processes coal and loads it into trucks. These trucks deliver coal to fuel bases, and private carriers sell it to the population. Recently, I received a video from a citizen complaining about the sale of small coal. I want to assure you that 'Kyrgyzkomur' does not sell small coal. We take back the small coal from the fuel bases," Mamatov noted.
He added that small coal is indeed sold by private carriers.
