Residents of the village of Dara, located in the Aiyl Aimak of Altyn-Beshik in the Batken region, have expressed their dissatisfaction with the constant passage of trucks transporting coal from the Ormuzan deposit.
The villagers report that when the mine was opened, agreements were signed stipulating that heavy trucks would only travel along one road that passes through their village. These agreements also specified that the coal company should limit vehicle movement during the morning and daytime hours when children are going to school, as well as regularly water the road to reduce dust. However, trucks continue to operate without interruption, even during times when children are outside, leading to significant pollution and dust in the village. Children return from school with dirty clothes, and the narrow road creates dangerous situations due to the passage of large vehicles.

Residents have already appealed to the local administration and the management of the coal company, but there has been no response. They now plan to contact higher authorities and warn that if their demands are ignored, they will be forced to block the road and halt the mine's operations. “When the mine first started its activities, the management promised that trucks would operate at specific hours and that the road would be watered. But this is not happening. After the passage of heavy trucks, the village is enveloped in a cloud of dust, and the children's school uniforms turn black. Several vehicles pass by every ten minutes,” shares his opinion a resident of Dara, Abdireyim Uzakbaev.

Oysary Umarova, another local resident, also confirms that appeals to the management of the coal company and the Aiyl Okmotu administration have not yielded positive results. “Trucks continue to circulate on the only road that children use to go to school and kindergarten. This road is narrow, raising concerns for the safety of the children. If the situation does not change, we will have to block the road and stop the mine's operations,” states Umarova.

______________

The Urmizan coal deposit has been known since 1903, and from 1965 to 1967, exploration work was conducted, during which nine coal seams were identified.

The construction of a mine was planned during the Soviet era, but the collapse of the USSR hindered the development of the deposit.

Urmizan (or Ormizan) is located in the mountains near the village of Dara in the Batken region. According to Soviet intelligence, the coal reserves here amount to 88 million tons.

Furthermore, the projected resources at depths of up to 500 meters were estimated at 62 million tons across various seams.

Coal characteristics: calorific value — 5733 kcal/kg, ash content — 23.1%, moisture — 4.96%, volatile matter — 41.68%, sulfur content — 0.59%.

The coal deposit is divided into several sections. One of them is operated by the company "Dogmon-Ken," while another section was previously developed by the state enterprise "Kyrgyz-Komur."

According to the Ministry of Justice, the head of the LLC "Dogmon-Ken" is Abylkasym Avaz uulu, and among the founders are Davoyan Samand Mamedovich, Nurmatov Anvarbek Dusmatovich, Abylkasym Avaz uulu, Kalilov Munarbek Islambekovich, and Zhedigerov Erlan Ruslanovich.

The company was registered on November 17, 2014, and underwent re-registration on October 19, 2023. Its main activity is the extraction of lignite coal.
