In Bishkek and the Chui region, coal in bags should not cost more than 250 soms per unit. This was reported by Kairat Mamatov, the director of OJSC "Kyrgyzkomur," in an interview with the "Kabar" agency.

He noted that there are 48 social fuel bases in the region where coal is sold both in bags and by the ton. Mamatov added that last year there was speculation in the market, when the price of coal in bags reached 350 soms, resulting in the cost of a ton of coal sold in bags rising to 10,000 soms. To prevent such situations, a decision was made to supply coal in bags to social fuel bases, where the cost of a bag is approximately 12 soms, taking into account packaging expenses. As a result, the maximum price for one bag of coal should be 250 soms, Mamatov explained.

The head of "Kyrgyzkomur" also emphasized that he strongly urged the Bishkek city administration to open additional social fuel bases in the city. This is necessary because residents of remote areas of the capital face high transportation costs for one ton of coal from the center.
