According to sellers, "this season, no preservation is complete without horseradish. Therefore, it is in high demand at the markets. Leaves are sold for 15-20 soms per bunch, while roots can be purchased for 50 soms per bundle or 240 soms per kilogram."

Biologist Irina Stezhko emphasized that horseradish contains many beneficial substances, including vitamins C and B group, as well as minerals such as potassium, magnesium, and iron, and antioxidants.

"Horseradish has anti-inflammatory and bactericidal properties, and it also helps improve digestion and appetite. It helps lower blood sugar levels and blood pressure, strengthens the immune system due to its high vitamin C and phytoncide content. During the cold season, horseradish effectively aids in combating viral infections," she added.

Fresh horseradish is usually used as a seasoning for various dishes, including sauces, marinades, and snacks. Nutritionists recommend limiting its consumption to 1 teaspoon per day (3-5 grams).
