In order to ensure road traffic safety, the Main Department of Road Traffic Safety (GUOBDD) conducted an inspection of the Bishkek – Osh highway before the start of the winter season.
According to a press release from the agency, this inspection was initiated due to abrupt changes in weather conditions and aimed at preventing possible road traffic accidents.
During the inspection, the readiness of Road Operation Enterprise No. 9 for winter conditions was assessed. A corresponding directive was issued to the head of this organization. It was emphasized that in the event of snowfall and worsening weather, the staff of the enterprise will operate in a round-the-clock duty mode to ensure road clearing and safe vehicle movement.
GUOBDD strongly recommends that drivers take weather conditions into account, maintain necessary distance, and prepare their vehicles for winter conditions in advance.
