According to the press service of the Ministry of Natural Resources, the conference was organized with the aim of preventing pandemics, enhancing food security, and protecting ecosystems in Central Asia.
During the conference, participants discussed key areas of cooperation at the regional level, including:
- combating antimicrobial resistance (AMR);
- improving pandemic preparedness and response to zoonotic diseases;
- developing monitoring systems and sharing scientific data;
- strengthening national coordination structures within the "One Health" program.
Almaz Musaev emphasized that Kyrgyzstan supports the idea of a regional approach to implementing the "One Health" concept and is ready to actively participate in creating joint mechanisms for coordination and experience sharing in Central Asia.
The "One Health" program aims to integrate efforts from various sectors, including health, agriculture, ecology, and food security, to effectively respond to transboundary threats and develop resilient ecosystems.
