The Ak-Suysky Machine and Tractor Station (MTS) has started its operations in Issyk-Kul, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry.

The station aims to increase potato production in three districts: Tyup, Ak-Su, and Jeti-Oguz. It will contribute to improving product quality, reducing production costs, enhancing food security, and improving the socio-economic situation. For these purposes, 108 million soms have been allocated from the presidential fund.

More than 60 units of equipment will be transferred to the new MTS, intended to provide agrotechnical services to local agricultural producers. Currently, 32 units have already been delivered, while the remaining ones are in production at factories due to previously placed orders.

The station will provide complete mechanized support to potato growers, including services for plowing, harrowing, seed planting, treatment, cultivation, and harvesting of potatoes.

The MTS will also engage in land preparation for grain and forage crops, which includes stone collection, laser leveling of plots, and deep soil loosening (subsoiling). Notably, ten potato harvesting combines have been purchased for the station.

These combines will allow for fully mechanized potato harvesting, eliminating manual labor, which will significantly reduce costs for agricultural producers and the production cost of the products. The cost of services offered by the MTS will be lower than market prices, creating more favorable conditions for improving the economic situation of the local population.

The Ak-Suysky MTS will operate on a self-financing basis, and the funds received will be directed towards further expanding the fleet of agricultural machinery and the range of services provided.
