It is worth noting that Chon-Alai was officially declared an organic zone back in 2020. Currently, the authorities, together with specialists, are working on activating organic production, phasing out the use of chemicals, and implementing a certification system.
At the seminar, participants, including farmers and agronomists, were introduced to the basic principles of organic farming, methods of using biopreparations, as well as natural ways to combat pests and procedures for obtaining organic certificates.
According to the department, the main goal of the seminar is to make Chon-Alai a model region for the production of environmentally friendly agricultural products and to enhance the knowledge level of local farmers.
