In 2023, the Talas region harvested 70.8 thousand tons of beans, as reported by the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of Kyrgyzstan.

To support farmers and stabilize market prices for beans, the government allocated 100 million soms to OJSC "Kyrgyz Agroholding" for the purchase of this product. Beans were purchased at a price of 95 soms per kilogram, which is higher than the offers from other buyers who pay 92 soms per kilogram.

This initiative aims to support local agricultural producers, stabilize market prices, and promote sustainable development of the agro-industrial sector in the region.

This year, the area planted with beans was 53.6 thousand hectares, and the total harvest reached 72.3 thousand tons.

For 2024, the area under beans was over 53.2 thousand hectares, and the harvested yield was 82.5 thousand tons, with an average yield of 18.4 centners per hectare.

In 2025, the sown area increased to 55.8 thousand hectares, and the total harvest amounted to 84.2 thousand tons, with a yield of 15.7 centners per hectare.

It should be noted that claims by some individuals regarding the existence of more than 100 thousand tons of unsold beans and a price of 60 soms per kilogram do not correspond to reality.

As of today, beans in the Talas region are sold at the following prices:
