During the meeting, participants analyzed the situation in the meat market, discussed measures to ensure food security, and identified factors contributing to price increases. The necessity for closer cooperation between government agencies, local administrations, and market leadership was emphasized.
Officials noted that to stabilize prices for socially important products, it is essential to organize uninterrupted supplies of meat directly from farmers to the population. This approach, in their opinion, will help keep prices within acceptable limits.
It is worth reminding that temporary state price regulation for beef and lamb has been introduced in Kyrgyzstan, which will be in effect until December 31, 2025.
Previously, the Ministry of Economy and Commerce set maximum (ceiling) prices for meat products for all regions of the country.
