According to the latest data, the validity period of state price control on meat (including beef and lamb, excluding boneless meat) has been extended until December 31, 2025. This decision was made to prevent a sharp rise in prices and stabilize the domestic meat market, as well as to ensure the availability of this important product for the population.
Uran Chekirbaev, head of the food security department, emphasized that measures are being taken to maintain price stability in the context of high inflation both in the country and abroad. "Meat remains a staple food in Kyrgyzstan. We must keep its price at 600–700 soms per kilogram. This is especially important for socially vulnerable groups," he noted.
Additionally, the export of live cattle has been temporarily suspended to ensure a sufficient volume of meat in the local market. The Ministry emphasizes that all measures taken are aimed at protecting the interests of citizens and stabilizing the domestic market.
