The Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan has refuted information about a drop in bean prices. In an official statement, the agency said that to support farmers and stabilize prices, the government allocated 100 million soms to OJSC "Kyrgyz Agrohholding" for the purchase of this product.

Beans are being purchased at a price of 95 soms per kilogram, which is higher than other buyers who offer 92 soms per kilogram.

The agency also noted that statements by individuals claiming that more than 100,000 tons of beans remain unsold and that the price per kilogram does not exceed 60 soms are false. These measures are aimed at supporting farmers in the Talas region and stabilizing prices in the domestic market, which contributes to the sustainable development of the country's agro-industrial sector.

In 2024, the region harvested 82,500 tons of beans, while in 2023 this figure was 72,300 tons. According to data for 2025, the bean planting area reached 55,800 hectares, and the total harvest amounted to 84,200 tons with an average yield of 15.7 centners per hectare.
