The key factors for accidents were speeding, improper maneuvers, and alcohol consumption.
During the year 2025, over 8,000 traffic accidents were recorded in Kyrgyzstan. This information was announced at a meeting organized by the Main Department for Road Safety of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.
High-ranking officials participated in the event, including Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Oktay Urmambetov, Head of the Internal Investigations Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Ulan Biibosunov, and Head of the State Traffic Safety Department Azhenbek Kozukeev, along with local department heads.
Among the main causes contributing to traffic accidents were identified speeding, incorrect maneuvering, crossing into oncoming traffic, driving under the influence of alcohol, as well as non-compliance with rules at intersections and road signs, and insufficient adherence to safe following distances.
