A social center for children and the elderly will be built in Bishkek on the site of the "Chatyr-Kul" cinema.

The Cabinet of Ministers has instructed the State Agency for Management of State Property, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy, to transfer a non-residential premises, as well as an adjacent plot of land measuring 0.4 hectares, located at Toktonalieva Street, 6/1, into the municipal ownership of the city of Bishkek.

According to the Cabinet's order No. 1112-t, the area is planned for the design and construction of a social facility that will provide services to children and elderly people.

Previously, there was a cinema "Chatyr-Kul" on this site, which served as a district cinema.

The decision made is aimed at improving the quality of life for the local population and enhancing access to social services for children and elderly citizens.

Note: The "Chatyr-Kul" cinema was opened in 1967 in the Botanical residential area and served the residents of the new neighborhoods of Frunze, but over time its operations were suspended.
