She noted that although the work of the Drug Control Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has positive results, the problem remains extremely relevant.
Kozhokulova emphasized: "The prosecution authorities must not remain on the sidelines. It is alarming that among the consumers of synthetic drugs are children and adolescents aged 12 to 16 years. This is an extremely worrying trend! Immediate measures must be taken at the level of the government and law enforcement agencies. This disease spreads like a cancerous tumor with large metastases. We must strengthen our efforts in this direction, especially with the Ministries of Education and Health," she added.
The deputy also reminded of the serious and dangerous consequences associated with drug use.
"I urge the prosecution to not limit itself only to fighting corruption and monitoring business activities. It is important to pay attention to the situation among minors. It is evident that there is targeted work aimed at creating dependency among youth on synthetic drugs," concluded Kozhokulova.
