In the Jogorku Kenesh, an initiative was presented regarding the need to strengthen support for families caring for children with disabilities.
At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Marlen Mamataliyev raised an important issue regarding the necessity of supporting people with disabilities (PWD) and those who care for them.
In his opinion, citizens with disabilities should receive due attention from the state, and the level of assistance to this group of the population should be significantly improved.
Mamataliyev emphasized that although benefits have increased over time, they remain insufficient for a comfortable life.
“An assistant is paid only 7,000 soms. This amount is completely inadequate for survival. If there is support from relatives in the family, it is possible to cope, but otherwise, it is extremely difficult to survive on such funds,” the deputy noted.
He urged government structures to reconsider their approaches to supporting people with disabilities and their assistants, emphasizing the importance of this issue.
