A new approach to protective orders has been implemented in Kyrgyzstan, which includes the use of electronic bracelets and a mobile monitoring system. This was reported by Ayaz Bayetov, the country's Minister of Justice.

As part of a pilot project in the Oktobrskiy district of Bishkek, the first 15 family aggressors have come under electronic monitoring. They are subject to restrictions ranging from 20 days to three months, with the possibility of GPS tracking and mandatory use of Face ID.

As clarified by the Ministry of Justice, starting next week, this mechanism will also be applied to primary temporary protective orders. In the future, it is planned to expand this practice to all districts of the capital and then to the entire country.

The creation of this project was made possible through the joint efforts of the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the General Prosecutor's Office, the Supreme Court, and the Probation Department.

It is important to note that the law allowing the implementation of electronic monitoring in protective orders was signed by the President of Kyrgyzstan in October 2025.
