In Uzbekistan, the authorities have decided to implement protective orders for citizens who report corrupt activities. This innovation is aimed at improving interaction between the state and the population, especially regarding cases of bribery and embezzlement. This decision was announced at a meeting with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

A key element of the new strategy will be the issuance of protective orders to informants, which should help change the current situation where citizens are afraid to approach law enforcement agencies due to possible retaliation from influential figures or criminal groups.

According to sociological research, about 30% of respondents in Uzbekistan do not intend to report corruption because they do not trust the state to ensure their safety. Journalists, bloggers, and activists are in a particularly vulnerable position, facing threats, administrative pressure, and persecution when attempting to conduct investigations.

In this regard, it has been proposed to create a system of protective orders for those who inform about corruption. It is also planned to introduce a badge "For Contribution to the Fight Against Corruption" as a moral incentive for such citizens.
