A earthquake occurred at night in Uzbekistan, which was also felt in Kyrgyzstan, according to information from the Institute of Seismology of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The strength of the tremors was about 5 on the Richter scale, and they were recorded at 3:04 AM.

The epicenter of the earthquake was located 40 kilometers southwest of the Kyrgyz village of Chon-Sai and 40 kilometers northwest of the Uzbek city of Kokand. It was also situated 43 kilometers southwest of the village of Besh-Tash in Kyrgyzstan, 80 kilometers southeast of the village of Terek-Sai, and 88 kilometers north of the city of Batken. In turn, the nearest major city, Tashkent, is located 140 kilometers southeast of the epicenter.

According to reports, in the villages of Kyrgyzstan such as Besh-Tash, Chon-Sai, Kok-Tash, and Tengi, the intensity of the vibrations was 3.5, while in Terek-Sai it was recorded at 3.
