An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.3 occurred on November 3 at 01:29 local time, near the city of Mazar-i-Sharif. The U.S. Geological Survey reported that the epicenter was located at a depth of 28 km.

The tremors were felt not only in Afghanistan but also in neighboring countries such as Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kazakhstan. Uzbek seismologists noted that at the epicenter, the earthquake's strength reached 7 points, while in Uzbekistan, the maximum strength was 5 points in some areas of the Surkhandarya region, which borders Afghanistan. In Tashkent and other regions, the tremors did not exceed 3 points.

According to Tajik specialists, the strength of the earthquake in Dushanbe was recorded at 4 points, and in Panjakent at 3 points.

In southern Kazakhstan, the tremors were felt even weaker — no more than 2 points, especially in Shymkent and the settlements of the Turkestan region.
