According to preliminary information, the epicenter was located 20 kilometers southwest of the village of Toguz-Bulak and 20 kilometers southeast of the village of Konur-Olen, within the territory of Kyrgyzstan. It was also situated 35 kilometers southwest of the village of Bokonbaeva.
The intensity of the earthquake in the settlements of Toguz-Bulak and Konur-Olen was about 3 points.

Additionally, according to the Institute of Seismology, two earthquakes were recorded on October 22:
- The first occurred at 13:33 with an epicenter strength of 3 points. The epicenter was located 30 kilometers southeast of the village of Ozgorush, 62 kilometers southeast of Naryn;
- The second was recorded at 20:04 with a strength of 3.5 points. The epicenter was situated 25 kilometers southeast of the village of Ozgorush, 55 kilometers southeast of Naryn.
