
It is reported that the epicenter of the earthquake, which had a magnitude of 5.5, was located approximately 14 kilometers southwest of Narsingdi at a depth of about 10 kilometers, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS). The Bangladesh Meteorological Department estimated the magnitude at 5.7, stating that the epicenter was 25 kilometers from the country's capital, Dhaka.
According to local authorities, 10 people died as a result of building collapses in areas such as Narsingdi, Banshal, Mugdha, and Narayanganj. Tremors were felt in various parts of the country.
