Residents of Kyrgyzstan Felt an Earthquake

Today at 11:58 local time, the Institute of Seismology of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic recorded an earthquake, as reported by the institution's press service.

According to preliminary data, the epicenter was located in Tajikistan, approximately 35 kilometers northwest of the city of Sulyukta. In this area, the intensity of the tremors was about 4 points on the MSK-64 scale, and the magnitude was Mpv=4.5.

The underground shocks were felt in several settlements of Kyrgyzstan. In particular, in the village of Janish, the intensity was about 3 points, while in the villages of Samat, Ak-Suu, Chimgent, and Sulyukta it was about 2.5 points.
