On January 24, the long-awaited premiere of the feature film "Tutkun," created by the renowned director and honored figure of Kyrgyzstan, Temir Birnazarov, will take place at the "Ala-Too" cinema. This information was published by the press service of the Ministry of Culture.

The film was produced by the National Film Studio "Kyrgyzfilm," named after T. Okiev.

The plot unfolds against the backdrop of the events of the Great Patriotic War. The main character, a Kyrgyzstani, finds himself captured by German troops, where he meets a nurse named Greta. A relationship develops between them, and soon they start a family. After the war, the couple settles in the German village of Rosenberg. At the same time, the main character experiences deep longing for his homeland and sends letters to his loved ones who remained in Kyrgyzstan every year. However, for many years he receives no replies. Only after 43 years does a letter arrive, claiming that he is a traitor and that no one is waiting for him back home. This news becomes a heavy blow for him, and later it turns out that the letter was fabricated by the KGB.

As noted in the announcement, "Tutkun" is a drama that deeply explores themes such as love for the homeland, human destiny, historical injustice, and spiritual tragedy.

The film's premiere is scheduled as part of the events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, as well as in accordance with the Action Plan for the implementation of the Concept for the Spiritual and Moral Development of the Individual and Physical Education for 2022-2026.
