Turgunbek uulu emphasized that on some days the capital even reached the "green zone" in terms of air quality indicators.
"City officials have done significant work to reduce the level of smog. We can observe that the situation has improved compared to previous seasons. The authorities are using various approaches and are actively engaged in cleaning the air in Bishkek. We should express our gratitude to them. Although smog is still present, its amount has decreased this year," the speaker added.
It is worth reminding that on January 21, Bishkek ranked first in the global air quality index according to World Air Quality, receiving a "hazardous" status at 21:00. During this month, the capital's air was recognized as the most polluted and dangerous twice, and on some days the pollution level dropped to third place.
