According to Muradil Jumadilde uulu, the chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Kyrgyzstan, after optimizing the expenses of sectoral education committees in 2024-2025, it was possible to significantly save funds. He shared this information at a press conference at the "Kabar" agency.
Currently, union members contribute one percent of their salary as membership fees; of this amount, 70% remains with the primary organization, while 30% is transferred to the sectoral committee. For the first time in 35 years, these funds are being used for the construction of health facilities for union members, with total costs of about 55 million soms.
The sectoral health committee also plans to complete the construction project of a health facility for 40 people by the end of 2025, allocating 17 million soms from its budget for this purpose.
“Although this amount may seem small, it is important to note that in 2025, the sectoral health committee collected about 22 million soms from the 30% membership fees. We expect that in 2026, after the abolition of regional committees, we will be able to attract about 40 million soms, which will go towards the construction of new facilities,” he added.
Muradil Jumadilde uulu also reported that as part of the digitalization efforts, all union members can now seek assistance online through the short number 2029.
“We have identified two main tasks: a complete inventory of union members and digitalization, as well as organizing issues related to property,” he concluded.
