The Ministry of Health has presented a draft law for discussion
Medical services in state hospitals of Kyrgyzstan will soon become more expensive. This is due to the fact that 20 state medical institutions will receive more autonomy. The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan has submitted the corresponding draft law for public discussion.
According to information from the Ministry of Health, state hospitals are currently experiencing a lack of financial and managerial independence, which makes them less competitive compared to the private sector. For example, the cost of medical services in state hospitals is 2-3 times lower than in private clinics.
Preliminary forecasts suggest that the price increase for services in state hospitals will range from 35 to 50%. The methodology for calculating new tariffs, taking into account social aspects, will be developed jointly by the Ministry of Economy and Commerce and the Ministry of Health.
