
According to information provided by the Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic, there has been a significant increase in the number of foreign citizens visiting the country in 2025.
Compared to 2024, the growth was 18.6%, and compared to 2023, it was 20%.
The agency emphasizes that this growth indicates an increased interest in Kyrgyzstan as a tourist and business destination.
The total number of foreign citizens who visited Kyrgyzstan in the last three years is presented below:
2023 — 17,480,097;
2024 — 17,682,929 (an increase of 1.2%);
2025 — 20,978,965 (+18.6% compared to 2024).
A total of 37,050,223 people crossed the borders of Kyrgyzstan in 2025, of which:
18,574,022 arrived in the country;
18,476,201 left its borders.
Additionally, 3,260,642 vehicles were registered, of which 1,690,357 units entered the country, confirming the high activity of tourists and participants in international transportation.
At the same time, the Border Service of the State National Security Committee ensured strict control over compliance with border and migration legislation. In 2025, 28,593 individuals with document violations were identified, of which 28,006 were denied entry across the border. Furthermore, 2,031 citizens were deported for violations of stay regulations.
“The increase in the number of foreign citizens confirms that Kyrgyzstan is becoming an increasingly open, safe, and attractive country for tourism and business, as well as highlighting its growing role in international and regional processes,” the statement notes.
