Significant progress has been made in Bishkek: over 51 thousand households now have access to natural gas, as reported by the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Kyrgyz Republic.
This opportunity has become a reality thanks to the introduction of preferential loans for the gasification of housing. It should be noted that according to the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, signed on April 28, 2025, under number 349, citizens are provided with loans for the gasification of homes up to 150 thousand soms at an interest rate of 3% per annum, which is a significant reduction from the previous rate of 8%.
The Ministry of Natural Resources noted that thanks to these measures, coal consumption in Bishkek has decreased by approximately 100 thousand tons, which has positively impacted the environmental situation in the capital.
