In 2025, the total coal production in the Batken region amounted to 1 million 401 thousand tons, according to information provided by local administration representatives.

The coal production data in various districts of the region is as follows:

In the Kadamjay district, where coal is mined at three deposits in the rural area of Maidan, 960 thousand tons were extracted, which corresponds to 68.5% of the total for the region.

The city of Suluktu, with 46 mines, produced 430.8 thousand tons of coal, accounting for 30.7% of the total volume.

In the Batken district, coal production amounted to 46.6 thousand tons.

The Leilek district showed minimal production volumes – only 3.2 thousand tons.

It is worth noting that there is a steady demand for coal mined in Suluktu in the domestic market. However, coal from the Bel-Alma deposit in the Kadamjay district, due to logistical peculiarities, is mainly directed to the Osh and Jalal-Abad regions.
