On January 28, 2026, employees of the Issyk-Ata District Department of Internal Affairs conducted an inspection of cafes and canteens at a mobile police station, during which they explained to the owners that additional markups and percentages for catering services are unacceptable.
According to the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of the Chui Region, markets, shops, and other trading points in the region were also monitored as part of this inspection. Preventive measures were carried out aimed at preventing unjustified price increases for meat products.
Representatives of local authorities participated in the event, conducting informational sessions for traders and emphasizing the need to comply with legislation. Individual entrepreneurs received recommendations, and some sellers were issued official warnings.
The goal of these preventive measures is to protect the interests of the population, create fair trading conditions, and strengthen legality in this area.
