Former presidents did not have a clear development plan for the country - Niyazov

In the documentary film "Five Years - The Beginning of a New Era," Miroslav Niyazov, who held the position of Secretary of the Security Council, expressed the opinion that none of the previous presidents of Kyrgyzstan had a clear plan for the country's development.
Niyazov noted that with the arrival of the new government, there is an active fight against corruption and organized crime.

“I am amazed at the number of roads, buildings, and residential complexes being constructed. Previously, many employees did not have their own housing, but now most of them have acquired apartments thanks to preferential mortgages,” he added.

In his speech, he also touched upon the issue of border disputes, emphasizing their complexity.

“Resolving border disputes is a very challenging task. Some countries have been working on them for 50–80 years. I have experience working as an ambassador in Tajikistan and remember how, during those times, the situation escalated, leading not only to clashes between the military but also to conflicts among the civilian population on both sides. This had a negative impact on the lives of ordinary people,” Niyazov concluded.
