In the city of Kara-Kul, they reported on the reduction of poverty and employment measures by the end of 2025.

On January 26, a city board meeting took place in Kara-Kul, where the results of the work for 2025 were summarized. This information was provided by the press service of the mayor's office.

Attending the meeting were Mayor Nurtilek Orozbaev, head of the office of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Jalal-Abad region Adilet Akbaraliev, chairman of the city council Chyngyz Kimsanov, as well as heads of various institutions and responsible staff.

The agenda of the board included issues related to the implementation of the socio-economic development program for 2025 and the approved action plan, including tasks for 2026. During the meeting, information was presented on the completed works in the social, infrastructure, and economic sectors.

According to the data, within the framework of grants aimed at developing the urban economy, 7 projects were implemented. These include: the renovation of buildings of the General Practice Center No. 2 and No. 3, road asphalting, the construction of a sidewalk from Seraya Street to the central market, the updating of the heating system in kindergartens "Kelechek" and "Balastan," as well as the repair of the administrative building of the recreation area "Kayin dy" and the public preventive center in the village of Ketmen-Tobo.

Additionally, within the framework of the Jalal-Abad region development fund, work was carried out to create a situational center, provide digital radio communication, and equip the kindergarten "Kelechek" with necessary equipment and furniture. Special equipment for managing the municipal property of the city was also acquired through leasing.

Regarding social protection and employment, the level of poverty decreased by 61 families compared to last year. Under the "Social Contract" program, 18 families received non-repayable assistance of 150,000 soms and began engaging in animal husbandry, beekeeping, taxi services, freight transportation, trade, and beauty services. The number of unemployed decreased by 19 people, making up 81%. 147 people found permanent jobs, 30 underwent training in the specialties of seamstress and PC operator, and 47 people were involved in paid public works.

In the education sector, students took first and third places in regional Olympiads in chemistry, physics, English, and Russian languages, as well as second place in the republican Olympiad "Zhas Pifagorlор." Additionally, they participated in the first republican competition "Zhas Talanttar" and the XII republican open championship "Premium–2025," where they also achieved prize-winning places.

In healthcare, to support young specialists, Mayor Nurtilek Orozbaev allocated funds from the local budget, and currently, 5 students are studying in medical universities.

Kara-Kul also ranked third among 31 cities in the republican competition "A City Friendly to Children and Youth."

Following the meeting, the head of the regional representative's office raised issues regarding the prevention of juvenile delinquency and the shortage of staff in education. He received responses from city authorities about the ongoing work and plans to address these issues.

The issues discussed at the board meeting were reviewed, additions were made, and specific tasks were assigned to the heads of institutions for execution.
