A new center for children with Down syndrome has opened in Osh





A new multifunctional resource center for children with Down syndrome was opened today in Osh. This institution was created by the charitable foundation "Santerra-Yug" and is intended to support the social integration of children with this condition, as well as to assist their parents.

The opening ceremony was attended by the mayor of the Osh region, Jenishbek Toktorbaev, who familiarized himself with the center's work, interacted with the children and their families, and participated in various activities.

In his speech, the mayor emphasized the importance of such social initiatives. He highlighted that supporting children with special needs and creating favorable conditions for their development and equality is a key direction in the social policy of the Osh city administration.

Currently, the "Santerra-Yug" foundation has registered more than 300 families from southern Kyrgyzstan, including 70 families from the city of Osh. The main focus of the resource center's work is to develop independent living skills in children, as well as to provide social, psychological, and informational support to their parents.
