Kyrgyzstan has implemented a new e-Permit system designed to simplify international freight transportation with China and Turkic-speaking countries. The relevant statement was made by the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic.

According to the information from the agency, domestic carriers can now carry out freight transportation with countries such as Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, and Turkey using electronic permits.

This system has significantly simplified the process of exchanging permitting documents, providing the opportunity to obtain permits in an online format. This has eliminated the need for personal visits and waiting in lines, as well as significantly reduced the processing time for applications.

Previously, all permitting documents were exchanged in paper format, which in 2025 led to the exchange of 130 thousand papers with China, incurring budgetary expenses.

The e-Permit system ensures a transparent and reliable process, which helps reduce corruption risks, lower budget expenditures, and develop international road transport. "These measures will help turn Kyrgyzstan into a logistics center for Central Asia. It is expected that with the implementation of the electronic permit system, the state budget will be replenished by more than 500 million soms by 2026," the agency noted.
