In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, the construction of a second plant for the processing of solid household waste will begin. This was announced by the city's mayor, Aibek Junushaliev, at the final meeting of the city hall board.
According to the mayor, the first plant of this type in Central Asia, which was launched on December 27, 2025, has already shown positive results — in a short period, it has processed 80 thousand tons of waste. It is worth noting that the capacity of this plant is from 1000 to 1200 tons per day, and it is also capable of generating up to 30 MWh of electricity.
Junushaliev noted that the opening of the second plant in 2026 will help increase the overall capacity of the complex to 3000 tons of waste per day.
In addition, the development of the sorting and processing complex, which has a capacity of 100 tons per day, is currently ongoing.
It is important to note that the production facilities will be used to manufacture products necessary for municipal enterprises, including benches, trash bins, manholes, and paving slabs.
