During a collegial meeting in the region, the results for the year 2025 were summarized, where the issue of domestic violence was highlighted as a separate category among the most significant social problems.
According to the data presented at the meeting, there are 59,304 registered families in the region, among which instances of violence have been recorded in 595 of them. These figures underscore the need to strengthen measures to ensure family well-being and prevent violence.
Particular concern is raised by cases of violence against children and adolescents. Specifically:
- 52 cases of violence against children have been recorded;
- 35 cases involving minors have been identified.
Additionally, according to information from law enforcement agencies, there are currently 299 children registered with the internal affairs departments, which constitutes 0.5% of the total number of children in the region.
During the meeting, tasks were outlined for responsible services regarding the prevention of domestic violence, enhancing child protection mechanisms, activating preventive work, and expanding public awareness.
Experts emphasize that effective work in this area requires shared responsibility from government institutions, local authorities, society, and parents.
