During today's event held at the Turdakun Usubaliev Square in Bishkek, the Minister of Emergency Situations, Urmatbek Shamyrykanov, announced the acquisition of new special equipment, including excavators, loaders, and trucks. These machines will be the first to respond in case of emergencies, as the minister noted in an interview with the news agency "Kabar".
The ceremony for handing over the equipment took place with the participation of the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Adylbek Kasymaliev, who handed the keys to the vehicles to Shamyrykanov.
Shamyrykanov emphasized that the mountainous terrain of Kyrgyzstan entails various risks of emergencies, making such equipment vital.
“Today, the Ministry of Emergency Situations received 116 units of special equipment purchased with budget funds and with the support of the World Bank. This package includes excavators, loaders, trucks, and other important machines that will be used in emergencies,” he reported.Additionally, as part of this transfer, tractors were provided for the needs of the forestry service, as well as specialized equipment for strengthening riverbanks using reinforced concrete structures, the minister added.
He also noted that in order to enhance operational efficiency, 20 JAC vehicles were transferred.
“There are 40 districts in the republic, and only 20 of them have been provided with appropriate operational vehicles. We will transfer the 20 JAC vehicles received to these districts to ensure quick and effective response measures,” concluded Shamyrykanov.
