Bishkek: Neither drivers nor BG cameras pay attention to the "waffle" markings

The city authorities have decided to abandon this type of road marking.

The Bishkek city hall reported that the 'waffle' markings at intersections do not attract the attention of either drivers or the surveillance systems of the 'Safe City' program. As a result, the municipal authorities concluded that this marking is ineffective for traffic regulation and needs to be removed.

It is worth noting that this type of marking was implemented in the capital of Kyrgyzstan starting from 2024.
