Last year, the State Insurance Organization OJSC made payments totaling 147 million soms. This was noted by Azat Osmonaliev, head of the compensation and insurance payments department of the SIO, on the air of Birinchi Radio.
He also reported that in 2024, the total amount paid to citizens was 27 million soms.
Osmonaliev emphasized that when housing is affected by natural disasters or fires, it can be difficult for citizens to restore it with their own funds. If the property is insured, the state insurance organization can provide significant payouts. In 2024, 27 million soms were paid out, and in 2025, it is expected that the payout amount will reach approximately 147 million soms," he added.
For reference, the cost of insurance for housing in cities is 1200 soms, while in rural areas it is 600 soms.
