On February 28 of this year, a press tour was held at the new fish feed factory owned by "Tian-Shan Trout" LLC in the Panfilov district of the Chuy region. The event gathered representatives from the media, bloggers, and fish farmers, who were able to familiarize themselves with the processes occurring at the enterprise.
Guests were given the opportunity to see the production processes and learn more about the factory's operations.
The construction of the factory began in May 2025, with a total investment in the project amounting to 7 million US dollars, of which 5 million was obtained as a preferential loan from a state bank.
The enterprise is designed with a capacity to produce 100-120 tons of feed daily, but currently operates at a level of 30-40 tons per day. At the moment, the factory offers 12 different types of fish feed, with a primary focus on trout feed. Iranian technologies are used to organize production.
The cost of one kilogram of fish feed is 200 soms, while feed for fry may cost slightly more. At the same time, imported feeds, depending on quality, are priced between 175 and 250 soms per kilogram.
The production complex of "Tian-Shan Trout" LLC occupies an area of about 7 hectares, and when the factory reaches full capacity, it will create between 100 to 120 permanent jobs.
The founder of the company, Ilgiz Shamenov, expressed concern about the spread of rumors regarding the low quality of the products, which he claims are coming from competitors involved in importing feed.
Shamenov also emphasized that if the quality of the feed does not meet standards and leads to losses for fish farmers, the company is ready to compensate for those losses.
“If as a result of using our feed the fish die or farmers incur losses, we guarantee compensation in double the amount. If, as the rumors claim, the fish raised on our feed do not gain market weight, we are ready to compensate the difference. All of this is nothing but slander,” noted Shamenov.
