Currently, as part of the "Safe City" project and for monitoring traffic on the roads in Kyrgyzstan, more than 5,000 surveillance cameras have been installed. This was reported by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Oktobyr Urmambetov during a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh.
He also noted that in 2025, as a result of road traffic accidents, 900 people died, and more than 12,000 sustained various injuries.
"Five people became victims of vehicle malfunctions, 29,900 were injured, and 657 reports were filed," he added.
