The Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, Erlis Akunbekov, visited the state breeding farm located in the Sokuluk district. This information was provided by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture.
During the visit, the minister received information about the work of the breeding biolaboratory, which is actively engaged in improving the genetic characteristics of cattle and increasing the efficiency of artificial insemination, as well as providing regions with liquid nitrogen for technical insemination.
“We need to focus on quality, not quantity. This will allow us to obtain seed material from genetically purebred animals, which is one of our priorities. Additionally, it is important to pay attention to domestic seeds of pasture crops that should be adapted to the local climate and undergo necessary testing,” emphasized the minister.
He also instructed the management of the farm to prepare a project estimate for a complete reconstruction. Akunbekov added that he plans to return to the farm next week to check on the progress of the repair work.
