The Bishkek-Osh Road is Open for Traffic

A snow avalanche that occurred on the Bishkek-Osh highway has been completely cleared by 11:30, and traffic is open for vehicles in both directions.

According to the Ministry of Transport and Communications, there is currently a restriction for cargo vehicles in place at the "Aral" checkpoint.

Turmush previously reported that on March 11 at 06:50, a snow avalanche occurred at the 224 km mark of the Bishkek-Osh highway, at the Ala-Bel pass. As a result, traffic for all types of vehicles was temporarily closed in both directions. The road maintenance enterprise No. 23 carried out the necessary clearing work at the site.
